Darryl Montana is the chief of the Yellow Pocahontas tribe of Black Indians in New Orleans and son of renowned former leader of the tribe Chief Allison "Tootie" Montana. Darryl was recently recognized with a community arts awards for his dedication to the Black Indian culture by the Arts Council of New Orleans for his over 50 years of dedication to this beautiful tradition
